TrueBridge is a network of churches based in the northern United States, mostly in the Minnesota area. They needed a website redesign in a bad way. Their old site was outdated in design as well as difficult to manage on the back end. The website was not that old, but the site had been designed with the wrong design goals and therefore resulted in a site that didn’t do what they wanted and was difficult to manage.
I spent a lot of time talking with their leadership as well as the volunteers that would be managing the site and came up with what I think is a fantastic website. They have had nothing by positive feedback since the re-launch.
There are several interesting features I included in this redesign:
- A searchable map of all TrueBridge locations with detail popups for each. This is all managed from the backend of the website. Enter an address and the details and it maps it for you. Awesomeness.
- Custom layout of the staff page.
- Audio podcast organizer. Audio files are uploaded using the WordPress backend and the podcast feed is automatically updated. Everything is automated – no coding required.
- Event management module – they can take registrations for all their conferences, seminars, and events right on the website. This includes payments via PayPal and scheduling. They love it!
