Servant’s Heart is a 501(c)3 ministry to adults living with a variety of mental and physical challenges. They offer a day care center, employment placement assistance, housing, and more. It really is an amazing outreach to the community and I was extremely privileged to help them gain an effective presence on the web.
They came to me without a website and really only a brochure to work from. We wanted to create something with a light-hearted, whimsical feel, but not comical or insincere. They asked that we have a separate employee area that was not password protected. I accomplished this by using a pop-out tab on the left of the browser window that gives access to those areas without cluttering up the main menu with internally focused content. I think the solution is quite effective.
This is a simple site – not a lot of content – but often these are the hardest sites to do effectively without it looking like something canned. This site is both unique in its industry as well as effective in communicating their unique values.
